Location: Virginia Water and Savill Garden

Autumn brings some of my favourite things: a colour palette filled with oranges, reds, yellows and browns; the sounds, smells and warmth of crackling bonfires; the taste of roasted marshmallows, cinder toffee, lumps of treacle, apple and blackcurrant crumble, winter stews and casseroles; the warmth of many a chunky sheep (aka woolly jumpers/cardigans); and fresh woodland walks that give your cheeks an oh so lovely pink glow.

A super lovely Autumn weekend, last week, was spent in London visiting lovely Mark. We wrapped up in our woolens and took a walk in Virginia Water, ending up in Savill Garden where a kind couple gave us their tickets for free!

Travelling lightly across the country from North to South means sometimes things have to be left behind- a textbook took the place of a beloved camera- luckily Mark has an iPhone so we were able to capture these amazing autumnal colours...yes, sometimes the iPhone does come in handy.
