AN APPEAL FROM A VERY NEW DRIVER

YES DEAR LOVELY READERS. YOUR EYES DID NOT DECEIVE YOU. TODAY I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST! Apparently the best drivers do indeed pass the second time. I did have to ask the examiner if I had actually passed because I was in such a state of shock that I thought that I'd misheard him. But no, alas he handed me the certificate in all its might and glory.

It's true, I will miss my weekly driving lesson with smiley Dave (a plug for Dave's driving school: Dave Dickinson School of Motoring) which enabled me to drive down the sunny roads of York and beyond, a chance to escape from the constant workload of university. It took me ten months and a few weeks, through rain, snow and sun, but I did it and am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of the pink card I will proudly display when I buy my usual (Southern Comfort and lemonade) in a pub or two that definitely need visiting.

It seems my passing has coincided with a certain birthday (okay marginally coincides...the end of March then). Therefore I am putting out an appeal to anyone who feels generous or loving towards me to buy me an old Fiat 500, or a new one, whatever suits. A trip to The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (aka my future residential borough...one can dream!) in the summer just gone presented the spotting of a lovely little old cream Fiat 500. The interior had been revamped and looked very inviting. Just right for a certain someone.

Anyway I must zoom for there are forests of articles to be read for tomorrow's lectures. Ta ta.
