THE BEAUTIFUL, THE WEIRD AND THE WACKY: NEW DESIGNERS EXHIBITION

Excuse the quality, The Camera was left at home due to personal luggage restrictions. My Blackberry tried its best.

A fabulous day was spent with Mother Wolfe at the New Designers exhibition in London last Friday. Oh the thrill of being surrounded by the beautiful, the weird and the wacky [creations].

There were hundreds upon hundreds of stands. That means there were thousands of creative brains all contained within one building. WHOOPIE!!!

A groovy creation that caught my attention was an iPhone app developed by Cassie MorrisonFrom what I inferred, the nifty app is used to break down the barriers between bookshops and the increasing power and popularity of internet stores such as Amazon- you simply scan a book's barcode and up pops the synopsis and its ratings and reviews. Super duper.

My favourite creation was a children's book called Strange Things written and illustrated by Bethany Kemp (see below). The book aims to encourage children not to litter by showing them the bad consequences it has on the environment. It was easy to become lost inside the beautiful illustrations which feature a family of ducks the story is centered around.

Anyway, now off for a spot of tennis, Andy Murray style. Hem.
