ONE THOUSAND ROBINS

What a lovely way to spend a crisp Saturday.

A long walk through some muddy fields.

A cosy lunch in a cafe, with creaky narrow wooden staircases, consisting of two pots of Teapigs tea, a bowl filled with roasted vegetable soup and a toasted sandwich.

Finally, to finish the day, a sprinkle of [Christmas.hem.] shopping.

The two cute little penguins in the shop window (my favourite shop in the world...in York) remind me of the fabulous book by Oliver Jeffers, Lost and Found. Can you spot them among the thousands, okay a few dozen, of robins? The little elf man popping out of the doll house window also makes me giggle.
